Welcome to the web site of the Research Group on Urban Economics at the "Universitat Autňnoma de Barcelona". This group is composed of economists specialized in urban and regional economics. Our research is centred on the urban economy of the city of Barcelona, the metropolitan region of Barcelona, the region of Catalonia, Spain and international comparatives.  Our most recent research is centred on the knowledge-based city, ICTs, urban externalities, urban networks, urban form, urban sustainability, industrial districts, local labour markets and quantitative methods of research.
